wowsdb is a personal hobby project - a World of Warships data platform developed and maintained in spare time.
First, there is no well-organized guide website outside the game. What concerns me more is that in-game plugins often show captains with strange skill builds and equipment, leading to poor gaming experience due to information asymmetry.
So I decided to build a data site myself. The goal is simple: organize the most basic yet important data, making it easy for every captain to find the information they need and better understand the game mechanics.
The project mainly relies on WG official API for data, but the API returns incomplete content. Many critical data points (such as skill descriptions, AA stats, dispersion formulas, and other ship attributes) require manual checking of game client data.
wowsdb is purely a spare-time project with no team and no commercial goals. My vision is simple: to make it your "warship encyclopedia".
Although the project is not for profit, server, domain, and maintenance costs are real.
