Yavuz Sultan Selim
A Moltke-class battlecruiser, originally commissioned into the Kaiserliche Marine as Goeben. The ship arrived in Constantinople in August 1914 and was transferred to the Ottoman Navy under the name Yavuz Sultan Selim. She then participated in several operations in the Black Sea against the Russian Navy. In January 1918, during the Battle of Imbros, she sank two British ships but sustained severe damage herself. In 1930, after lengthy repairs, the battlecruiser returned to service as flagship of the Turkish Navy, which she remained as until her decommissioning in the 1950s.
