Châteaurenault
Former Italian light cruiser Attilio Regolo, commissioned in 1942, was transferred to France in 1948 after World War II and renamed Châteaurenault. Between 1951 and 1955, she underwent a major modernization, including the complete replacement of her armament. Reclassified as a "fleet escort," Châteaurenault received 105 mm guns as her main battery, supplemented by the latest 57 mm anti-aircraft guns and twelve 550 mm torpedo tubes.
