Ocean
One of 10 Colossus-class light aircraft carriers laid down in the U.K. at the height of World War II. The ship was designed for mass production, including construction at any major shipyard, including civilian ones. She entered service in August 1945, and by the end of that year had become a testing platform for the Sea Vampire, the first carrier-based jet fighter. In the early 1950s, Ocean saw action during the Korean War and participated in the Suez Crisis in 1956. She was placed in reserve in 1958 and scrapped four years later.
