Royal Sovereign
A Revenge-class battleship, built as a slower version of the Queen Elizabeth class with a less powerful power plant—and therefore less expensive to produce. Royal Sovereign entered service at the height of World War I but did not see action. During World War II, the battleship protected convoys in the Atlantic and operated in the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean. From 1944 through 1949, Royal Sovereign served in the Soviet Navy under the name Arkhangelsk, after which she was returned to Great Britain and scrapped.
